Paste the URL, get structured data
A linkedin.com/in/… URL is resolved to the profile and its stable identifier, and the sections you ask for — experience, education, skills — come back as data rather than as a half-scraped page. That is what lets the agent compare rather than summarize.
“Analyze this profile against the role we are hiring for: linkedin.com/in/…”
“What has changed in this person’s career in the last two years?”
Summaries are the least useful output
A profile summary is something you could read yourself. Ask instead for a judgement: does this person actually run a team or only sit in one, is the recent move a promotion or a sideways step, which of these eight profiles has genuinely shipped the thing we need. That requires the full sections, not the headline.
What you have in common is in your account
Shared connections, a previous conversation, an email exchange two years ago: those are the things that make an approach land, and they live in your account rather than on the profile. Connecting a mailbox alongside LinkedIn turns a profile read into an actual briefing.
Reading a profile is visible, at scale
One profile read is invisible. Two hundred in an afternoon is a pattern, which is why reads count against the daily budget of roughly a hundred actions per account. Narrow the list first and read the shortlist — it is also better work, since reading everything produces a summary of noise.
It sees what you see
The agent has your visibility: a profile visible to you is readable, one that is not stays invisible. There is no public scrape behind it, which is both the honest limit and the reason the account is not at risk.
Before a call, not instead of one
The output that earns its keep is three lines you can hold in your head walking into a meeting: what they run, what changed recently, what you have in common. Anything longer will not be read. Ask for that explicitly — an agent given no length will produce a page, and a page before a call is the same as nothing.
Common questions
Can it read any profile?
It sees what your account sees when logged in. A profile you cannot view is not readable, and nothing is scraped from outside your session.
Does the person know I looked?
Profile views follow LinkedIn’s normal behaviour for your account. It is your account acting, with the visibility settings you already have.
Can it compare several profiles?
Yes, and that is where it is most useful — ranking a shortlist against criteria no LinkedIn filter expresses.
How LinkedIn works with Nilyo
Connection. Secure hosted sign-in (your LinkedIn credentials go to LinkedIn, never to the agent). Sales Navigator and Recruiter are detected automatically when your account has them.
What your agent can do. People and company search, profile lookup from a name or URL, your network and invitations, private conversations (classic, Sales Navigator, Recruiter inboxes), posts, comments and reactions, job postings and applicants, Recruiter projects.
Pacing and safety. About 100 actions per day per account, profile views and searches included; calls are serialized so an agent can never run LinkedIn requests in parallel.
- Profile URLs are resolved to stable profile IDs before any action.
- Invitations carry an optional note of up to 300 characters.
- Private or restricted profiles return an explicit “not accessible” result instead of a retry loop.
