Sales Navigator MCP

Sales Navigator MCP for the seat you already pay for

LinkedIn publishes no Sales Navigator MCP server, and most LinkedIn MCP servers treat Sales Navigator as if it were ordinary LinkedIn — same search, same inbox. It is not. Nilyo keeps it a separate product: its own people search with its own filters, its own inbox for InMail, and the credit count so an agent knows the ceiling before it starts.

Is there an official Sales Navigator MCP server?

No. LinkedIn publishes a developer API that covers publishing and advertising, and nothing for Sales Navigator; there is no official MCP server for it and no partner programme a normal customer can join. The third-party LinkedIn MCP servers you find almost all ignore the distinction, which is worse than not supporting it: an agent that runs a Classic search believing it is searching Sales Navigator returns fewer, different people and nobody notices. Nilyo exposes the Sales Navigator routes as their own tools, on the seat your connected account already holds.

One URL, OAuth, about two minutes

The server is at https://nilyo.com/mcp over streamable HTTP. Add it as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client and choose OAuth: the client registers itself, opens a browser once, and you sign in and authorize the accounts the agent may reach. No key to generate, nothing to paste into a config file.

A different search, not a better one

linkedin_sales_navigator_search_people is its own tool with its own filters, because Sales Navigator indexes and ranks differently from Classic. The practical consequence is that a query written for one does not transfer to the other, and an agent has to know which it is using. Nilyo also replays a search you already built in the interface: paste the Sales Navigator URL and linkedin_search_from_url runs that exact query, filters included, rather than asking an assistant to reconstruct twenty criteria from a sentence.

“Run this Sales Navigator search and tell me who we already spoke to: <paste the URL>”
“Find heads of operations in Lyon with Sales Navigator, then check which ones are already connections.”

The InMail inbox is a different inbox

A Sales Navigator seat comes with its own inbox, and a message sent from it is an InMail — a different object with a different cost and a different tone. linkedin_list_inboxes reports which inboxes your account actually has, and starting a conversation names the inbox explicitly, so nothing silently falls back to a plain Classic message. This is the single most common way an agent embarrasses you on LinkedIn: sending an ordinary DM where a properly framed InMail was intended, or the reverse.

“Which LinkedIn inboxes does my account have?”

Credits are the real limit

InMail credits run out, and finding out mid-sequence is worse than not starting. linkedin_get_inmail_credits reads the balance, so an assistant can check before it plans: forty prospects and twelve credits is a conversation to have upfront, not a failure on the thirteenth send. Contracts are handled the same way — an account attached to several can list them and select the one to act under rather than assuming the first.

“How many InMail credits do I have left before I start this sequence?”

The daily budget still applies

A Sales Navigator seat does not lift LinkedIn’s tolerance for volume. The same budget of roughly a hundred actions per day per account applies, searches and live reads included, with calls serialized and spaced. A seat buys better filters and a different inbox; it does not buy the right to run five hundred profile views in an afternoon, and a tool that lets you is selling you an account restriction.

Common questions

Is there a Sales Navigator MCP server?

Not from LinkedIn — it publishes none, and no partner programme opens Sales Navigator to third parties. Nilyo is a hosted MCP server that exposes the seat on your own connected account: lead search with Sales Navigator filters, saved search URLs replayed as-is, the InMail inbox and your credit balance.

Do I need a Sales Navigator seat?

Yes, for these tools. Nilyo acts on your own account, so it can only reach what that account holds. Without a seat the standard LinkedIn capabilities remain fully available.

Can it run a search I already built in the interface?

Yes. Paste the Sales Navigator search URL and it is replayed with its filters intact, which is far more reliable than describing twenty criteria in a sentence and hoping the agent reconstructs them.

Will it send InMails without asking?

Sending is an explicit action, and the inbox it is sent from is explicit too. The agent can also read your credit balance first, so it can tell you the sequence will not fit before starting it.

Is Sales Navigator search the same as normal LinkedIn search?

No, and treating them as interchangeable is the usual flaw of LinkedIn MCP servers. They have different filters and rank differently, so they are separate tools here and an agent always knows which one it used.

How LinkedIn works with Nilyo

Connection. Secure hosted sign-in (your LinkedIn credentials go to LinkedIn, never to the agent). Sales Navigator and Recruiter are detected automatically when your account has them.

What your agent can do. People and company search, profile lookup from a name or URL, your network and invitations, private conversations (classic, Sales Navigator, Recruiter inboxes), posts, comments and reactions, job postings and applicants, Recruiter projects.

Pacing and safety. About 100 actions per day per account, profile views and searches included; calls are serialized so an agent can never run LinkedIn requests in parallel.

  • Profile URLs are resolved to stable profile IDs before any action.
  • Invitations carry an optional note of up to 300 characters.
  • Private or restricted profiles return an explicit “not accessible” result instead of a retry loop.
