Email for every mailbox
Use a generic IMAP mailbox with the same agent interface as your other communication accounts. Nilyo is especially useful when your mailbox is not hosted by Google or Microsoft, when your runtime has no native email connection, or when a task needs to move between Email, LinkedIn and messaging.
Google and Microsoft email remain supported, but the public Email capability is provider-neutral and IMAP-first.

How Email works with Nilyo
Connection. Gmail and Microsoft 365/Outlook through their official sign-in (the “Unipile” name appears on the consent screen: Unipile SAS operates the connection). Any other mailbox through IMAP/SMTP: OVH, Zoho, iCloud, IONOS, Infomaniak, Fastmail, Yahoo, GMX and self-hosted servers.
What your agent can do. Folders and labels, listing and searching messages, reading with attachments, drafts, sending and true replies, moving and labelling, contacts on Gmail and Microsoft.
Pacing and safety. No local budget; provider limits apply. IMAP mailboxes are read live, so listings are paged (50 messages max per page).
- “How many emails today” uses the folder counts of the mailbox; “today” is a date filter, never a guess.
- On IMAP a message id changes after a move; Nilyo returns the new id so the agent keeps working on the right message.

Questions about Email
Does Nilyo read all my email?
No. Messages are fetched only when a tool is called for a specific request and returned to your agent; Nilyo keeps no copy.
My mailbox is not Gmail or Outlook. Does it work?
Yes, through IMAP/SMTP with your mailbox login, either on the secure hosted page or directly in the conversation (credentials are forwarded once and never stored by the agent).

Your accounts stay under your control
Your agent only sees accounts you connect and authorize. Provider passwords are never shown, reading does not silently authorize writes, and the agent asks when several accounts or people could match your request.
Company billing never gives managers access to a member’s messages, email or calendars. You can revoke agent access or disconnect an account whenever needed.
