Connect it in two minutes
Add the Nilyo app in ChatGPT, or enable developer mode and add a connector with the URL https://nilyo.com/mcp and OAuth. Then connect the mailbox: give the address and the password and the servers are detected from the address — you normally never type a host or a port. Only if detection fails are you asked for them, and the authoritative place to copy them from is the account settings of the mail client you already use.
What usually blocks the first attempt
Two things. If two-factor authentication is on, the mailbox password will be refused and an application-specific password generated in the Infomaniak manager is expected instead — that is not a Nilyo rule, it is how IMAP works once a host enables 2FA. And if the address is an alias rather than the mailbox itself, authentication fails even though the address receives mail: connect the real mailbox login, which is the one your mail client uses.
What it is actually good for here
What changes day to day is triage: which of the forty messages that arrived overnight expect something from you, and which threads you are holding up. Reading is free of consequence, so that pass can run every morning; sending stays an action you ask for, and a draft waits in your own drafts folder until you press send.

Swiss hosting, and the agent stays out of the way
Choosing a host outside the big two is usually a deliberate decision, and it should not cost you every integration. Mailbox credentials stay on our side, never reach the agent and never appear in a tool argument; you can disconnect the mailbox at any moment and that cuts every agent at once.
When it stops working
Two causes cover nearly everything. The password is refused after it worked: an application password was revoked, or the mailbox password was changed — generate or update it and reconnect the same mailbox rather than adding a second one. The agent suddenly sees nothing: the session expired, and the card in the answer carries the reconnection link. A mailbox that moved host is reconnected with the new servers, not re-added, so anything referring to it keeps working.

Can ChatGPT read an Infomaniak mailbox?
Yes, over IMAP, with the address and the password you already use. Servers are detected from the address.
Why is my password refused?
Usually two-factor authentication: an application-specific password from the Infomaniak manager is expected rather than the account password.
Can I connect an alias?
Connect the real mailbox login, not an alias. An alias receives mail but does not authenticate.
Does it work with several mailboxes?
Yes. Each action names the mailbox it runs on, so one question can cross a personal box, a shared one and a client’s.
