Add the Nilyo app in ChatGPT, or enable developer mode and add a connector with the URL https://nilyo.com/mcp and OAuth. Then connect the mailbox: give the address and the password and the servers are detected from the address — you normally never type a host or a port. Only if detection fails are you asked for them, and the authoritative place to copy them from is the account settings of the mail client you already use.
MX Plan and Exchange are not the same mailbox
OVH sells two different products on the same domain, and they do not behave alike. MX Plan is a standard IMAP mailbox: address and password, servers detected (ssl0.ovh.net on 993 for IMAP and 465 for SMTP if you ever need to supply them). Exchange is a Microsoft-hosted mailbox with its own servers and, on some plans, its own authentication rules. If a migration moved you from one to the other, the old connection stops working with a credentials error — the mailbox is fine, the configuration changed under it, and reconnecting the same account with the new details is all it takes.
What it is actually good for here
A domain mailbox is where contracts, quotes and delivery dates live, so the useful requests are evidentiary: what exactly did we commit to with this client, which quote did they accept, when did we say the shipment would leave. Attachments come back as files, so the answer quotes the PDF rather than its filename, and a draft left in your own drafts folder is the right default on an address that carries the company name.

A mailbox on your own domain, in an assistant
The point is not that ChatGPT can read email; it is that your professional mailbox stops being the one account your tools ignore. The same question can then cross it and your LinkedIn or WhatsApp, which is the difference with an integration that only speaks Gmail.
When it stops working
Two causes cover nearly everything. The password is refused after it worked: an application password was revoked, or the mailbox password was changed — generate or update it and reconnect the same mailbox rather than adding a second one. The agent suddenly sees nothing: the session expired, and the card in the answer carries the reconnection link. A mailbox that moved host is reconnected with the new servers, not re-added, so anything referring to it keeps working.

Can ChatGPT read an OVH mailbox?
Yes, over IMAP. Give the address and the password; the servers are detected from the address, and you are only asked for them if detection fails.
Does it work with OVH Exchange as well as MX Plan?
