Ask the question before asking for a summary
A generic summary can be noisy. Tell the agent what matters: decisions, dates, unanswered questions, commitments or changes since you last checked.
Resolve the conversation before reading it
The agent uses the person/group reference to locate the relevant supported chat. That keeps context attached to the correct conversation instead of treating exported text as an anonymous transcript.
“What did John say about the delivery date and did I answer him?”
“Summarize this group into decisions, owners and open questions.”
“Which conversations have a recent inbound message that appears to need my attention?”
Use conversation history for a better draft
If you later ask for a reply, the agent can use the relevant history it has just read. That is more grounded than generating a response from a single pasted message.
Keep read and write separate
