Telegram for agents

Connect your Telegram account to your AI agent

Nearly every Telegram integration drives a bot, which is a separate identity that cannot write to anyone who has not written to it first. Connecting your own account gives the agent your real conversations, your groups and your identity.

Account, not bot

A bot appears under its own name, cannot start a conversation, and in a group sees only what its privacy mode allows. That is the right tool for broadcast notifications to people who opted in. It is the wrong one for answering the conversations you already have — which is what most people actually want automated.

QR code or phone code, once

Connect with a QR code scanned from the app, or a code sent to your number. The session is held on our side and the agent never sees it. If it later expires, you reconnect the same account rather than creating a second one, so identifiers and history keep working.

Groups and channels are marked

Telegram mixes one-to-one chats, groups and channels in one list and they are not the same object. Listings say which is which, so an assistant can summarize a busy group without posting in it, or find the single direct conversation that needs an answer among two hundred channel posts.

“Summarize what I missed in my Telegram groups since yesterday.”
“Which Telegram conversations are waiting for an answer from me?”

One vocabulary with WhatsApp and Instagram

Telegram is driven through the messaging tools shared with WhatsApp and Instagram: list conversations, read a thread, resolve a recipient by name, send, start a chat. An assistant that learned to answer a WhatsApp already knows how to answer a Telegram, and a workflow can switch channel without changing shape.

No invented daily budget

Unlike LinkedIn or Instagram, Telegram carries no local cap here: calls are serialized per account so nothing runs in parallel, and Telegram’s own limits apply. Saying where a budget exists and where it does not is more useful than publishing a reassuring number that enforces nothing.

Common questions

Why not use a Telegram bot?

A bot cannot message someone who has not written to it first, appears under its own name, and sees only part of a group. Your own account keeps your history, your groups and your identity.

How is Telegram connected?

With a QR code or a phone code, once. An expired session is reconnected on the same account rather than added as a new one.

Can it read channels?

Yes, and listings mark chats, groups and channels separately so an assistant knows what it is reading and where it may answer.

Is there a daily limit?

No local one for Telegram; calls are serialized per account and Telegram’s own limits apply. LinkedIn and Instagram do carry a local budget, because those platforms punish bursts far more harshly.

How Telegram works with Nilyo

Connection. QR code shown in the conversation (Telegram › Settings › Devices) or a code sent to your phone.

What your agent can do. Chats, groups and channels, message history, sending text and media, reactions.

Pacing and safety. No local budget; calls are serialized per account.

  • Groups and channels appear in the chat list with their type, so the agent can summarize a channel or answer in a group on request.
