Connect your Nilyo accounts to Grok.com

Grok.com supports custom MCP connectors. Add the Nilyo server in the connector settings and authorize access in your browser. These are documented setup steps; end-to-end Nilyo compatibility in Grok.com remains to be verified.

Before you start

Sign in to Nilyo and connect only the communication accounts you need. Have access to Grok connector settings. Business and Enterprise users need their team administrator to provision a custom connector in the xAI console before members can use it.

Add the custom connector

Open grok.com/connectors. Choose New Connector, then Custom. Enter https://nilyo.com/mcp and follow the authentication prompts. Review the Nilyo authorization screen and sign in on Nilyo. Never enter your provider password or a Unipile API key into the conversation.

Check the first request

Ask which accounts are connected. Match the displayed names and statuses to your Nilyo account before reading private content. Start with one small read. If several accounts or people match, choose explicitly rather than letting the agent guess. Connection to Grok alone does not connect a LinkedIn account or mailbox.

Understand access and recovery

The direct MCP includes supported reads and writes according to your permissions. Private content passes through Nilyo and your agent runtime. Review proposed sends and destructive actions; do not repeat a write after an uncertain timeout without checking current state. For disconnected accounts, reconnect the same account from Nilyo. Revoke agent access from your dashboard to stop future calls.

If setup is unavailable

For a managed team, ask the administrator to enable the connector first. If authorization fails, keep the error and contact Nilyo support without sending tokens. Adding a custom connector is an individual installation; Nilyo is not claimed to be listed in the public Grok.com catalog.

Is this the Grok Build plugin?

No. This guide covers the Grok.com chat interface. Grok Build has a separate marketplace installation guide.

Do I need an xAI API key?

Not for this custom connector setup. Grok.com uses its own account access; the separate API integration requires a provider API key.
